We offer transparent pricing with a package fee, so you’ll never be caught off guard by unexpected costs when picking up your pet. Our state-of-the-art surgical procedures use a surgical laser, which not only ensures precision but also cauterizes as it cuts, resulting in cleaner incisions that heal faster.
What to Expect
On the day of the surgery, we’ll ask you to bring your pet in early in the morning. Before the procedure begins, we conduct a thorough pre-surgical exam, including pre-anesthetic blood work, to assess your pet’s overall health. If any concerns arise, we’ll discuss the next steps with you to ensure the best care plan.
To keep your pet as comfortable as possible, we administer a sedative prior to surgery, followed by a gas anesthetic during the procedure. This allows us to adjust the anesthesia levels as needed, ensuring your pet’s comfort and safety throughout.
During the surgery, we carefully monitor your pet’s vital signs, including heart rate, respiration, and temperature. A respirator helps regulate their breathing, while pre-surgical pain medication and an antibiotic injection ensure their comfort as they recover. After surgery, we’ll send your pet home with pain relief medication to ease their recovery.
For common procedures like spays, neuters, dental work, and small mass removals, your pet will be ready to go home by mid-afternoon. Our technician will update you on how the procedure went, and provide details on when your pet will be ready for pickup, along with any final costs. We are open until 7 pm, so you won’t need to rush to pick up your pet.
Declawing
For more involved surgeries like declaws, we recommend keeping your kitty overnight to ensure proper healing. If your cat is older or heavier, we may suggest an extra night’s stay to ensure a smooth recovery. Rest assured, we are committed to providing the best care possible for your pet at every step of the surgical process.
